Resurrection
09:13
|
|||
High on a mountain cold winds blow
Just rocks and wasteland but beneath the snow
Kept safe and sheltered in nature´s care
A seed of hope is planted here
Little one - May you stand tall
May your roots grow strong
Fragile one - Someday soon you´ll lead on
Teaching right from wrong
Stormclouds appearing out on the edge
Of the horizon - The dark-world´s pledge is;
Torment this new force now taking form
Just few feet under the mighty storm
Precious one - May you stand tall
May your roots grow strong
Chosen one - You are born to lead on
Teach us right from wrong
In you tomorrow´s child our fate is sealed
All lies in the womb of time
You shall be adored and the masses will obey
True-hearted swear alligiance to all you preach and say
But there among them one voice is led astray
So it has been written – it is his born task to betray
We can not foresee the future
So we try to seize the day and
Honor both hard work and leisure
Give and take and count our blessings
We can try to conceal our sins and crimes
But truth will reveal itself in its own good time
In you tomorrows child our fate is sealed
All lies in the womb of time
History shows that leaders come and go
Through the ages we´ve bled
For their ambition - to heed their call
Little one you grew wild and free
Our new Messiah to be
But one kiss led to your fall
Rise again lead us through our narrow ways
We´ve lost our direction
Lead us through your resurrection.
Shine again we will follow - we´ll obey
Couragious behind you marching in
Your footprints once again
All lies in the womb of time…

Private Affairs
05:43
|
|||
Red alert - My neighbors are here
They´re marching down the corridor
Through the peephole I watch them multiply
To an army outside my door
I don´t mind a little of that human touch
But I incline to solitude
This concern for others seems
Pretty much overrated - beyond dispute
You think I´m lonely? Don´t even know the word
Me and myself we´re doing just fi ne
Don´t get me wrong - I keep an open mind
If one day love should fi nd its way
And knock on my door I´d open up and say
How do you do - I´ve been waiting here for you
I do my fi ve times eight hours
Friday afternoon I´m king again
And after a nice long shower
It´s solitaire and Wagner on ten
We individuals are different minded
Construction of needs and demands
For me it´s all about privacy
The world outside comes second-hand
But I´m never lonely - hardly know the word
Me and myself - likeminded almost to a complete
And we make ends meet…well, as good as can be
A jolly-good team we are…
I don´t need much in life
Simplicity just becomes me
Me and myself – like meant to be
I do my nine to fi ve as ought to be and as always…
Me and myself in holy matrimony

The Book of Dreams
09:28
|
|||
Prologue :
In the book of dreams
All is not quite as it seems
Open if you dare
But interpret each word with utmost care
Once you break the seal there can be no appeal
Dreams of good and dreams of bad
Altered moods or just mere refl ections of reality?
What´s this phase – how can we roam free
In the haze of our awareness into eternity?
Be alert – it´s vital – stick to our scheme
Chapter one – in random order…
Bad dreams :
Ashen snowfl akes soaring down - Magma boiling underground
Deafening sirens in the sky - Sun´s turned black - Wells gone dry
Swarms of leeches suck you in to nurish on your sins…
Don´t let the demons get you – make sure you close that door
Still alert? It´s vital – Stick to our scheme
Chapter two - a general view on…
Sweet dreams :
In the book of dreams all ends well if you just read it right
Don´t load your mind with thoughts of darkness
Fill your soul with light - an everlasting light so bright
To guide you through the night
And read between the lines…
You´ll find a happy ending there
There is a happy ending here - You´ll see
Résumé :
Your thoughts might be torn in two directions
Subservience or full repudiation
Either way you choose it´s your decision
Just make sure you act with pure precision
When closing the book of dreams
Reflect on your interpretations
But lean on to happy thoughts
Before you go to sleep
That´s the key to better dreams
It´s all in the mind and yours to keep
Forevermore…and furthermore…
Epilouge :
Great challenges in our life must be taken for real.
The faint-hearted may not survive and there can be no deal
No there will be no deal for the souls
Of smallest doubt In the book of dreams
End of story – case is closed
No don´t you worry – the book is here
Just when you need it the most
But remember all may not be quite as it seems…

Away From Shadows
07:53
|
|||
I am trying to cope with my fears
Tear down these walls I´ve built for years
Is there anybody out there? Please light up the path
That I´ve chosen today…away from shadows
I´m scared - no use to pretend
What waits beyond…the beginning or the end?
I pray my music will fl ow once again
Raise me up – take me far away from shadows
If I knew just what hit me I´d explain – but I can´t
Somehow my morning sun refused to shine
And in the absence of light dark will prevail
And fi ll you from within
But now I´m taking steps each day
And no past-remains shall stand in my way
Tomorrow come what may – I know I´ll be okay
I’m going far away from shadows

Luna
04:02
|
|||
The magic of the pale moonlight so divine - yet obscure
Her hand in mine - a starlit autumn sky - a setting so pure
A grand illusion - Wizard´s spell?
Thus she asked me - child´s eyes open wide
Darling Luna my angel – my pride
One mystic moment time stood still
As high hopes tendered new dreams to be fulfilled
I live for you - you live in me and I pray - Let it be
Though in my heart I know the truth - we cannot buy eternity
A grand illusion - This wizard´s spell could…
Immortilize us here in nature´s frame
Rembrandt might paint us and even sign his name
Inside The Louvre we´ll be admired by one and all
With Mona Lisa still smiling from her wall
True piece of art they´d gasp - that ”Autumn Sky”
Two generations absorbed in where´s and why´s
A magic moment caught as time stood still
And high hopes tendered new dreams to be fulfilled

My old man said; Work fi rst - Then joy
Obey your mama - Be a good boy
In my childhood I was raised in terms of right and wrong
Most every day would oblige to work - less play
Know your place in line - how to belong in society’s justice for all
Yes I learned ‘bout consequences - the whole ritual…
About human failures in our struggle to survive
Good boys deserve a favor - ten strokes for a lie
Stay clear of trouble just go with the fl ow
And take nothing for granted - You’ll reap as you sow
I guess I learned the hard way...
But then one day this brave young musketeer
Ignored daddy’s warnings - confronted mama’s tears
And moved away
Son just remember - she said - pride goes before a fall
But we’re still here for you if all falls down… just call
On my way to fi nd new frontiers…
Picture a blue sky - snow-peaked mountains
Gentle breeze in the air - valleys of green, fi elds of gold.
There is laughter and singing, wedding bells ringing
Celebrations in the streets - Well...
if this isn’t Paradise – it’s close enough for me
Two years passed like in an exotic haze
Money all gone and this musketeer was just
Tired and yes - homeward bound
I went back to settle the score
My one-horse town seemed less dull than before
And there he stood with arms open wide
My old man - we hugged and then he sighed
Welcome home boy - it’s been a while
But now you’re here again - that’s all that matters
Mama come now - our wayward son is back again
Alive and kicking
Mama looked me in the eyes and said
You know you’ll never be on your own again my son
But maybe it is time to settle down
Lady fortune must have followed you - walked beside you
In our prayers we have asked her to warm and guide you
She kept her promise - you’re home now
Look at me now - An older and a wiser man
My folks long gone but their heritage
It lives and breathes in me
Discipline with love
If I was granted the chance to relive my life
I wouldn’t change a thing
My parents raised me well
And thus I’ve raised my own…
In discipline and with love
